Queers, Knowledge, and Education

QUAKE is a research community of racialized and/or queer, trans, and non-binary scholars who draw on a history of interdisciplinary and intersectional theorizing and scholarship. Our model of mentorship draws on deep and long traditions of Black feminist and queer of color efforts to rethink the university. We insist that professional development is an opportunity to reimagine the profession; we find strength and inspiration in intergenerational exchange; and we are committed to supporting racialized, queer, trans, and non-binary belonging in all its intersectional complexity and strength.
